Activity Description
Atrial fibrillation (AFib) commonly occurs with hypertension, and is associated with a 5x greater risk of stroke. With effective treatment, the risk of stroke can be reduced. However, up to 50% of AFib cases present with no subjective symptoms, making it unlikely to detect in an annual physical exam.

This enduring activity, which was held as a satellite symposium during the ESC Congress 2023 in Amsterdam, features lectures that are complemented with a panel discussion that review Atrial Fibrillation, Hypertension, Strokes and Ablation.
