Introduction

This educational webcast reviews practice guidelines, outcomes data, and presents the perspectives of the multidisciplinary faculty surrounding optimal strategies to manage concomitant surgical Afib patients. The lectures are complemented with panel discussions that explore rationale, best practices as well as roles and responsibilities for developing and implementing a successful multidisciplinary collaborative team approach.

  • Examine current guidelines that support concomitant AF ablation procedures in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. 
  • Review the incidence and impact of new onset AF after SAVR and TAVR.
