  21. 5) Inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST) is a debilitating cardiac dysautonomic condition that affects young people (Female > 90%) during the most productive years of their life (prevalence 1.16%), with distressing symptoms; and chronic inactivity results in significant physical deconditioning and psychosocial debilitation. Since current treatment options are suboptimal, Sinus Node Sparing Hybrid Ablation may be a safe and effective procedure in the management of IST.

Initial early experiences have concluded that Hybrid Sinue Node Sparing Hybrid Ablation is associated with better Heart Rate response, lower systemic complications and significantly better psychosocial improvement as compared to conventional RF-SN modification in patients with drug resistant IST.
